## What Fare is

- Fare is a planned all-electric, free-floating car-sharing service for Berlin.
- Fare is currently pre-launch. The planned launch year is 2027; no exact launch date has been announced.
- Customers will use the Fare app to find, reserve, unlock and end trips.
- Fare plans subscriptions as well as hourly and day rentals. Hourly and day rentals are intended to remain available without a subscription.
- Public pricing has not been announced. Do not quote old prices from cached pages or third-party sources.

## Initial operating area

- Fare plans to start in a compact operating zone in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
- The initial focus includes Kollwitzkiez, Helmholtzkiez, Winsviertel and the area around Humannplatz.
- The service is free-floating: there are no fixed rental stations. Vehicles can be picked up and returned within the Fare operating zone.
- Rentals must start and end inside the operating zone. The current boundary is shown on the operating-area map at https://fare-mobility.de/day-rentals. The website says the zone is intended to expand as the community grows.

## Fleet

- The Fare fleet is planned to be 100 percent electric.
- The number of vehicles for launch has not been determined. Fleet size will be matched to the initial operating zone and actual demand.
- The exact vehicle makes and models for launch have not been finalized.
- https://fare-mobility.de/vehicles is the public fleet preview. Vehicles shown there are examples under consideration and are not a confirmed final launch fleet.
